Futsal Enugu Lands May 23 — And It's Only the Beginning

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, the indoor game makes its biggest move outside Lagos yet. WLB Sports Limited and Futsal Lagos, in partnership with the Enugu State Ministry of Youth and Sports, are bringing the very first Futsal Enugu exhibition to the CIC College of the Immaculate Conception, Uwani — and A3 Tickets is proud to support the journey.

From 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the city's best ballers will go head-to-head on the iconic blue-and-yellow Futsal Lagos hard court in what is set to be Enugu's first-ever taste of the discipline at this level.

Futsal Lagos — the private, first-of-its-kind futsal league owned by WLB Sports Limited — has been quietly building the indoor game in Nigeria since launch. The inaugural Lagos season will feature ten teams competing across twenty matchdays: five-a-side play (four outfield players plus a goalkeeper), nine substitutes per squad, unlimited rolling subs, and two 20-minute halves separated by a three-minute break. The player pool spans 16 to 35 years, all eligible for career play.

But Futsal Enugu is something different. It's an exhibition. A proof of concept. A community moment. A flag-planting exercise. New players. New crowds. New ground.

Speaking on the journey ahead, Unwana Etuk, Founder of WLB Sports Limited and Futsal Lagos, said: "It's such an exciting time for the game of futsal in Nigeria.
